In Wallonia
In Wallonia, training courses are organised by the centre of expertise CEPIA and are all given in French.
Basic training in eating disorders
(Free of charge and with government support)
Public: front-line professionals
> GPs and paediatricians
> clinical psychologists under contract
> registered dieticians
This training, supported by the federal government, is free for general practitioners, registered clinical psychologists and registered dieticians wishing to train in specialist care for eating disorders in young people.
Certification training in CBT-E for eating disorders
Implementation of the key components of CBT-E, a manual-based, evidence-based individual therapy. CBT-E targets restrictive eating behaviours (including anorexia nervosa) and binge eating behaviours (including bulimia nervosa) in adolescents and adults.
Audience:
> GPs and paediatricians
> clinical psychologists
> hold or be in the process of obtaining a 3rd or 4th year Certificate in CBT therapy.
> have followed or follow the basic modules (E-learning) available online on the CEPIA website
> be able to recruit one or more cases before starting the course
> follow at least 2 patients during the course

FBT certification training in eating disorders in children and adolescents
Implementation of the key components of an evidence-based and manualised family therapy specifically for eating disorders. Family Based
Therapy" (FBT) focuses on restrictive behaviours (including anorexia nervosa) and the approach to hyperphagic behaviours (including bulimia).

> GPs and paediatricians
> clinical psychologists
> hold or be in the process of obtaining a 3rd or 4th year Certificate in CBT therapy.
> have followed or follow the basic modules (E-learning) available online on the CEPIA website
> be able to recruit one or more cases before starting the course

In Flanders, training courses are organised by the centre of expertise Eetexpert and are available in French and Dutch.

Training for psychologists and orthopedagogues working with young people suffering from eating disorders
